Before we get started, we need you to know a few things.
When you play this game, if you indicate you are over 18, we are saving some data, that is, your in-game actions and your answers to a small (4 question) survey.
This data is completely anonymous and not at all tied to your name, IP, location, or any other browsing data.
We will use this data to understand what strategies people use to play the game, and how this relates to their education level and experience with physics.
This will help us develop Lab Manager further as an educational tool in the future, and you are helping our research by playing the game!

The goal of this game is to build up a laboratory and do amazing research science!
You're a new professor in the field of experimental cold atom physics, and you've just been hired to set up a new lab at ScienceAtHome University.
You start with some initial funding and a single PhD student ready to get started. You can hire more students if you want, but they can cost you money and/or productivity!
You should get to work researching technologies in the tech tree you see on the left, and be sure to write some grants so you can afford to pay your students. Unpaid students become very unhappy very quickly, and they could leave your group.
If you gain science, you can publish papers, and your increased fame will make it more likely that you get grants in the future.
You win if you research all the technologies. Good luck!
